About Me
2020 Neltje Blanchan Award Winner (and 2019 Honorable Mention) for writing “informed by a relationship with the natural world.”

My birthplace in Maine is traditional homeland to several Wabanaki peoples, and currently i live in western Wyoming, long considered home for Shoshone, Bannock and Apsalooke. My ancestral family lineage traces back to the British Isles and Ireland, where old slave routes and conquests provided a sad preview of the history of British and Irish colonization and settlement on this continent. My writing digs into and wrestles with changing cultural understandings of the ways we fit within our shifting world, how we are all one and each, many.
2019 Masters in Fine Arts awarded by Maine’s Stonecoast Program (fiction emphasis) https://usm.maine.edu/stonecoastmfa
